Far from political; this is a heartwarming story about one person making a difference.

 

This tireless lady, one of the finest customers we have, and are honored to know, has devoted herself to supporting US troops in Iraq.  In addition to sending countless care packages and thousands of handmade Christmas stockings and holiday cards, she also operates Troop Scoop, a blog devoted to keeping the public informed on the progress the troops and Iraqi people have made, working together.  You won't hear these stories or see the incredible photos on the news, and it's uplifting and positive for a change. 

 

Whether you think the US should be in Iraq or not, it's just nice to see our troops succeed in their mission.  Nothing could be worse than feeling like what you do isn't appreciated, especially when you are risking your life for it.  You can show your support by writing a little letter to the troops.  Just email it to Joanna, and she'll print out your letter and include it in her next care package.

 

You can also subscribe to daily email updates with photos, and read great letters from the troops themselves.  It's a worthwhile visit, and there is no advertising on the blog.
