Oh my gosh.  We're having a ball on Facebook.  It's so nice to be able to interact with you and share all sort of fun things there!  We always make sure to put exclusive special offers, contests and freebies there, so we encourage everyone to become a fan!

Twitter has been a struggle, but we are finally getting it.  Sort of! ;o)  It's a little harder to figure out, but we're trying really hard.  The character limit and not being able to post photos directly on the page make it a little more limiting than Facebook, but we felt it was important to have a presence there for folks who Twitter more than use Facebook.  Tweet tweet!  We hope you'll follow us there!

Woohooooooo!  After many years and many sad Doodlekinless Canadians, we have finally figured out a way to ship to Canada!  Yes, it only took us 8 years.  We are very proud.

One of our customer care gals even knows fluent French!  Her grammar isn't the best, so we're hoping she doesn't accidentally say something terrible, but she should be able to get the job done if any French-speaking Canadians out there need assistance.  Just ask for Pip!

We are so excited to work with our neighbors to the north and look forward to fun times ahead.

2009 and beyond

We are always looking to improve your ordering experience, and listen to all of your suggestions!  There are many new features and improvements on the www.doodlekins.com site now, but here are some of our future plans...

• We are hoping to show instant proofs that would approximate what finished products would look like, and what characters would look like with your chosen colors and accessories, but, until we could do it properly, we had to pass on this in 2008.  Your products are crafted by really talented designers, who, as humans, can "eyeball" things that need tweaking, and add special touches a computerized system can't.  There are also so many options, like sizing characters and fitting their hats, etc., to consider too.  Because of these kinds of issues, the instant previews that have been shown to us have never looked appealing, and were more of a deterant than a feature on the site.  We are highly optimistic that 2009 will bring about big changes though; we have seen a glimpse of a very talented programming teams prototype, and we may be offering something very nice for you gals that want those previews...!

• We will be rolling out an optional account you can sign up for, that will allow you to review and reorder past purchases, and check on your order status. 

• Are you a Doodle Diva?  Well, you can be!  We will be launching a program that will allow ladies to sell Doodlekins like you would Tupperware or Avon.  Many of you have expressed interest in this, and we are listening!

• Doodlekins brand checks.  Need we say more??? :-)

• More new hairstyles for characters, more accessories and Storymakers, and great new products

• International shipping beyond Canada

New website!

Yep, www.doodlekins.com finally broke free of it's mama, www.mabelbean.com!  It's flying solo, and doing pretty well, no major technicial glitches to report.

If you want to order products from both sites, we still have the old system set up on Mabel Bean & Co, not to worry!

We think you'll really enjoy the new look and most importantly, the new order forms!  It's more fun and darned cute, but most importantly, it's so easy to customize your characters now; just click to add accessories in various colors!

Wedding Favor Labels, Envelope Seals, Oh MY!

We took 'em away, and all heck broke loose!  Well, we're here to say that we've learned our lesson, we're very sorry...

Better than ever too.  (If we do say so ourselves!)  New 1 1/2" circles, 30 per sheet, with FIVE different layouts to choose from using 1 or 2 characters.  They couldn't be cuter, we promise!  We'll make the big announcement here when they're officially ready to order.

These wedding stickers will fit those little metal tins and other favor packaging beautifully.  Picture them on tiny jam jars, for example!  They're also great as envelope seals, and stickers for kids' lunch sacks.  Anywhere you want to add a little extra YOU...

New shipping option added!

We now have three shipping methods to suit your needs!  Economy, Standard and Express, all served by the US Postal Service (USPS), for low cost and reliability. 

Economy is 1st class mail and the lowest priced option.  It takes an average of 5-10 days, and has no tracking or delivery confirmation.  If you're not in a hurry, it's economical and a safe bet. 

Standard service is by US Priority Mail and has delivery confirmation, but no in-transit tracking.  It's average delivery time is 3-7 days.  It's usually faster than 1st class, for not a lot more money, so we recommend it if you are in a little hurry or have issues with delivery and need confirmation to see where your package ends up.

If you are in a BIG rush, or need a specific delivery date, we've got an Express option. It is served by US Express Mail, and guaranteed by the postal service to take just 1-2 days, or your money back.  There is in-transit tracking, and they can even deliver on weekends and holidays, unlike UPS, so it's a good deal.

We think you'll find these options makes shipping more convenient for you!

Updated AND New Female Hairstyles!

Tons more than these examples, we organized all of them much better, too.  More longer styles (they can't be really, really long or the faces would be too small and too high above the rest of the family) and shorter styles you've been requesting!
